Bowel Screening project with Royal Marsden – patients turning 60 this year

North West London CCG have partnered with Royal Marsden Partners and the West London Cancer Alliance in a project to increase bowel cancer screening uptake in North West London.

In Ealing, the uptake of bowel cancer screening is at 55% which is lower than the London (56.4%) and national (60%) averages (March 2020 data).

The Bowel Screening Hub has started the screening invitations and is supporting the RM Partners initiative of contacting patients who are turning 60 within the next 3 months. Patients will be contacted by phone by the team and encouraged to book a screening test.
